About the position

Become an LVN/Wellness Coordinator for Villa Redondo! Villa Redondo is an assisted living facility for the elder community located in Downtown Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced LVN/Wellness Coordinator to join our assisted living team. This position is crucial in ensuring the well-being and health of our residents, and it involves a variety of responsibilities that require both clinical skills and strong communication abilities. The LVN/Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and maintaining resident assessments and individualized service plans, ensuring that all residents receive the appropriate care tailored to their needs. In this role, you will communicate clearly with the Administrator, residents, and their families regarding any changes in condition or concerns. You will manage, oversee, and assist personnel in in-service training and medication administration, ensuring that all healthcare staff are well-trained and compliant with regulations. Additionally, you will assure the completion of all resident activities of daily living according to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs). The position also involves interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising all healthcare staff, facilitating staff meetings, and conducting in-service training. You will manage all physician communications, medical updates, and pharmacy cycle changes and orders, coordinating all dietary needs with the Dining Coordinator and Dietician. Furthermore, you will manage and maintain all medication orders, inventory, and supplies, and render emergency medical aid and wound care as needed. Additional duties may be assigned by Administration, making this a dynamic and engaging role within our team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains resident assessments and individualized service plans.
  • Communicates clearly with Administrator, residents, and families of any changes in condition or concerns.
  • Manages, oversees, and assists personnel in in-service training and medications.
  • Assures completion of all resident activities of daily living according to ISPs.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and supervises all Healthcare staff and facilitates staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Manages all physician communications, medical updates, and pharmacy cycle changes and orders.
  • Coordinates all dietary needs with Dining Coordinator and Dietician.
  • Manages and maintains all medication orders, inventory, and supplies.
  • Renders emergency medical aid and wound care.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Administration.

Requirements

  • Valid LVN license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Able to clear DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
  • Able to pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
  • Experience in medication administration preferred.
  • 1 year of LVN experience preferred.
  • 1 year of assisted living experience preferred.
  • 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
  • 1 year of medication administration experience preferred.
  • 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tagalog preferred.
