Your primary role as the M&Q Data Governance Lead is to implement Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) Data Strategy and Governance. Key responsibilities include leading and operationalizing MQ technical aspects of data governance ensuring timely delivery of standards for MQ's global data domains in close collaboration with the Enterprise Data strategy. This position requires close collaboration with business data domain leads, product owners, and teams. You will implement data strategies, put into practice global governance processes, and support MQ. To succeed in this role, you will leverage your business and technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain M&Q Data Governance with a deep understanding of Manufacturing and Quality business processes, including Supply Chain and lab processes. You must possess a combination of technical and soft skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement with M&Q Data domain leaders. Your ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, influence decision-making at all leadership levels, and build strong professional relationships will be crucial. You will also proactively monitor and stay abreast of evolving business and technology trends in the realm of data standards and quality, continuously seeking innovative approaches to enhance our processes. Experience with cGMP regulations, Data Integrity requirements, and maintaining quality deliverables is essential. You will ensure documented processes and procedures are in place for all activities to meet quality and compliance standards. An agile mindset and framework will be leveraged for the entire product lifecycle, including designing, implementing, automating, modernizing, maintaining, and optimizing data standards, domains, and products. Additionally, you will coach and mentor team members on best practices and standards, ensuring a strong understanding of corporate computer system validation requirements according to Lilly Quality Standards, providing technical guidance to global and site teams to ensure quality of operations and deliverables.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years in IT leadership roles.
  • Experience with Data strategies, implementing Data governance and standards.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, including GxP standards, data privacy, and data security concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ERP, LIMS, MES or other manufacturing systems data standards design, development, and/or support.
  • Strong understanding of corporate computer system validation requirements according to Lilly Quality Standards.
