Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 4 - 7 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in operating standard machine shop equipment
• Basic knowledge of trigonometry for machining set-ups
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate major shop tools including CNC Router, Laser, Water Jet, and Manual Mill.
• Perform basic operations in producing prototype parts and modifications to existing parts.
• Support in-house customers such as manufacturing and engineering.
• Utilize Work Orders, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining processes and tooling requirements.
• Perform a variety of machining and assembly tasks using standard machine shop equipment.
• Plan and perform complex machine set-ups, utilizing trigonometry for accurate calculations.
• Maximize material efficiency by nesting parts to reduce waste.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Conform to departmental safety requirements.
