About the position
The Machine Operator will work in a factory setting, utilizing both manual and CNC machine tools. This role involves learning to read blueprints, preset tooling, set up machines, and perform quality inspections. The position emphasizes practical application and skill development in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use standard shop measuring equipment
- Record information/data on route sheet & inspection sheets
- Learn to select proper tooling
- Position tools in holders
- Load machines properly
- Monitor the production run including performing in-process inspections
- Follow route sheets and handle parts from one machine operation to the next
- Finish parts by deburring, tumbling, preparing and packaging product for sub-contracting operations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
