About the position
The position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities & Operations, or designee. The role involves performing general work in cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and repair of school buildings, grounds, systems, equipment, and furnishings. The individual will lead all specialized work in the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Additionally, the position requires inspecting buildings as needed for sanitary, fire, and safety hazards. The employee will operate trucks, tractors, and other equipment, and all work is performed in accordance with Lemoore Union High School District's established practices and policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
- Inspect buildings for sanitary, fire, and safety hazards.
- Lead specialized work in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
- Operate trucks, tractors, and other maintenance equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) years post-secondary experience specializing in building trades, construction, building systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years or more of verifiable journeyman-level HVAC trade experience.
- Experience in coordinating maintenance/operations work in a high school or other public or private business, or similar experience in building and construction and repair.
