About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic position at Innova Solutions involves performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on production and supporting equipment during second and third shifts. The role requires troubleshooting, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining equipment to ensure operational efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Technical training or electrical/mechanical technician degree, or verifiable comparable experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the mechanical field; working with boilers, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, air handling units and HVAC is a plus
  • Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (electric/manual)
  • Experience with programmable logic controller, instruments and controls is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing background is a plus
  • Basic knowledge & troubleshooting skills in pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Experience with plumbing, pumps, seals & gaskets, drive systems (gear, belt, and chain), bearings & bushings, fastener thread designations & properties of lubricants
  • Basic knowledge & troubleshooting skills in electrical systems

Responsibilities

  • Carry out tasks issued by maintenance shift supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot support system problems using basic problem solving skills.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment assigned to you.
  • Complete all standard work orders and preventative maintenance tasks assigned.
  • Submit all completed paperwork.
  • Record information in required logbooks for systems history and continuous improvement.
  • Record any parts/components used for repairs to ensure replenishment of On-Hand balances are maintained, and properly dispose of used parts/components.
  • Ensure quality standards set by the company are adhered to after PM's and/or repairs are made to equipment.
  • Perform machine repairs based upon a maintenance call or an assignment in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the areas you are working in; properly dispose the parts/components you have replaced.
  • Promote a safe and harmonious work environment with adherence to company policy, procedures, safety and health regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with S.Q.F. Certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
