About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems within a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintaining product quality, with a strong focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, with a strong emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, particularly those related to hydraulic and pneumatic components, to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and manufacturer specifications, focusing on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper operation, with a special focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address equipment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, particularly those specific to the food and beverage industry.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, especially those involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures, with an emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
