Let your career take off with PSA Airlines! As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our customers and employees by supervising all personnel on shift. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all maintenance updates are properly executed and that the aircraft is prepared and ready for release. You will be expected to demonstrate a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to the Safety Policy and Procedures Manual as well as the General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures. This includes ensuring compliance among your subordinates and submitting manual revisions as required for any identified ineffective processes or procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling the department to provide adequate coverage while maintenance is being performed. You will prepare written reports to the Maintenance Manager regarding delays, cancellations, and irregularities. Additionally, you may sign maintenance releases and assume full responsibility for aircraft under the jurisdiction of the Maintenance Department during checks. It is essential to ascertain that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records and to coordinate all operation planning to ensure that the proper work is performed on the aircraft as scheduled. Monitoring the appearance of the aircraft and ensuring they are well presented is also part of your duties. You will account for the performance of assigned personnel and maintain liaison with Maintenance Control, Production Planning, and other departments. Ensuring adequate tool inventories are maintained and proper use of these tools is observed is critical. You will work in an outside maintenance operation to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft and deliver comprehensive pre-shift briefings to ensure your team is well informed, fostering open dialogue. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be available for consultation and decision-making on matters requiring higher authority than that of the persons performing the work. You will provide direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic and delegate duties as necessary, although this does not relieve you of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
