About the position
In this Collierville, Tennessee based role, the Sr. Maintenance Technician will support the manufacturing and shipping operations of the Diversified Products division of IPS Corporation by successfully executing maintenance on equipment and facilities, reducing production and operations downtime, and be actively involved in the continuous improvement process and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support the manufacturing and shipping operations by executing maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Reduce production and operations downtime.
- Be actively involved in the continuous improvement process and strategy.
- Execute work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Analyze maintenance data including emergency vs. scheduled maintenance work, PM compliance, maintenance downtime.
Requirements
- Ability to work safely, knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, especially those that apply to maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints and drawings.
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, electrical meters, pressure reading devices, temperature gauges, etc.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.
- Basic PLC, ladder logic, and motor drive troubleshooting skills.
- Basic facilities knowledge including HVAC compressors, water chillers, plumbing, etc.
Nice-to-haves
- Reading, writing and comprehension skills.
- Basic math skills plus ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
- Ability to interpret charts and graphs.
- Problem solving skills.
