About the position

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures the successful execution of production activities while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Maintain, inspect, and adjust trim and assembly fixtures to ensure safety and product quality.
• Report concerns to group leader or department manager when issues cannot be resolved.
• Organize and manage spare parts for repairs.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety rules at all times.
• Use MP2 software to communicate work orders and document spare parts usage.
• Enforce workplace safety guidelines and health and safety statements.
• Participate in corrective actions with health and safety committees and continuous improvement teams.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental laws.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance within automotive manufacturing.
• Technical education preferred but not required.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints for hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• ISO 14001 certification knowledge.
