About the position

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM), inspections, and safety procedures on manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct repairs, adjustments, setups, and rebuilds on fillers, cappers, labelers, packaging equipment, and other machinery.
• Rebuild gearboxes and reducers, and replace chains, sprockets, guides, and bearings as needed.
• Meet compliance standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.

Requirements

• Technical Diploma or two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical repair of high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plant utilities, welding, machining, gearbox, pump repair, wiring drives, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tetra Pak equipment.
• Background in calibrations and certifications of critical precision and sensitive equipment.
• Prior experience in a liquid manufacturing or packaging facility.
