About the position

The Maintenance Technician III at Resilience is responsible for performing maintenance and troubleshooting activities in a regulated biomanufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting inspections, and leading investigations with minimal supervision. The position will initially involve Monday to Friday work for the first 12 months, transitioning to a 12-hour shift schedule thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections and conduct troubleshooting activities.
  • Establish visual tracking and other tools to enhance audit readiness and trend analysis.
  • Gather, organize, and communicate operational information to others.
  • Lead and coordinate investigations and studies with little supervision.
  • Participate in spill control, handling of hazardous materials, and first aid.
  • Identify temporary and permanent fixes to address issues; initiate appropriate action when process deviations occur.
  • Monitor equipment and/or systems for performance and problem indicators.
  • Read, understand, and comply with cGMP and SOPs, including general safety and lockouts.
  • Report process deviations when they occur.
  • Wear gowning, sterile garments, and PPE as required by specific activities.
  • Perform preventative and corrective/emergency maintenance of equipment, systems, and/or facilities without supervision.
  • Ensure proper documentation practices during maintenance processes.
  • Maintain equipment and systems along with their certification records.
  • Monitor and analyze process equipment performance.
  • Perform work required in response to process equipment requests received through the Work Request System.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, drawings, and other schematics.
  • Recommend and initiate activities to ensure area and equipment is maintained in a state of compliance.
  • Conduct safety checks for work group, department, or site.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Pull necessary parts to complete a work order or ticket.
  • Analyze trends in data to provide accurate descriptions, identify root causes, and/or identify solutions or improvements.
  • Perform regular audits of SOPs and/or work instructions.
  • Assist with executing validation protocols for processes, equipment, packaging, and/or cleaning.
  • Provide "off shift" support as needed.
  • Provide input on the engineering of replacement parts.
  • Consult cross-functionally as an SME on systems and/or processes.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience in a regulated or cGMP environment.
  • May require state certification or licensure for certain roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • High school diploma and certification in a skilled trade (electrical, boiler operations, etc.).
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline.
