The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation, and testing of various machines and systems within the facility. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and minor construction as necessary. The technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently and remains in good condition. This includes conducting safety inspections and implementing necessary safety measures to comply with regulations. The technician will follow preventative maintenance checklists, which involve inspecting belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters and worn parts, lubricating moving parts, and maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities. In addition to routine maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for planning repairs by consulting blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, flow schematics, and parts catalogs. The role requires physical stamina, as the technician must be able to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods, and work in a range of temperatures from 30°F to 100°F, both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. Attendance and punctuality are critical to this position, as any unscheduled absences or tardiness can negatively impact production objectives. Previous experience in industrial maintenance is required, along with a high school diploma or vocational school graduation. Completion of a two-year electrician training program or a related field is preferred, along with a thorough knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment used in industrial maintenance. Familiarity with AC, DC, and SERVO controls, as well as mechanical and electrical repair of machinery, is essential. Experience with PLCs and electronic systems is beneficial, and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred but not mandatory.
