The Maintenance Technician at Clover Management, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the physical integrity of a senior apartment community in Bethel Park, PA. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who is personable and handy, capable of performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks. The technician will be responsible for a variety of maintenance duties assigned by their supervisor, including responding to after-hour service calls. The role involves refurbishing vacancies, which includes tasks such as painting, cleaning, and general maintenance repairs to ensure that the property remains in excellent condition. In addition to refurbishing units, the Maintenance Technician will maintain the overall appearance of the property by monitoring the grounds and common areas daily. They will perform general repairs to buildings and apartments, which may include interior and exterior painting, adjusting entry doors, replacing light bulbs or fixtures, patching and painting drywall, and light plumbing work. The technician will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of completed work and managing inventory expenses. Adherence to fire and building codes is essential, and the technician must promptly notify their supervisor of any potential safety or code violations. Snow removal duties may also be required during winter months. The Maintenance Technician must maintain the integrity of the community by ensuring the confidentiality of residents and company information. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined and possesses a general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The technician must also be prepared to respond to emergency maintenance calls within 20 minutes when on call, and must have their own tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of the property.

  • Replace light bulbs or fixtures as needed.
  • Perform general repairs to apartments, including patching and painting drywall and changing locks.
  • Conduct light plumbing work on sinks and drains.
  • Perform electrical work such as changing outlets and fixtures.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and control inventory expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to fire and building codes, notifying the supervisor of any potential violations.
  • Perform snow removal duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a registered, inspected motor vehicle.
  • Must have own tools and not live further than 20 minutes from the property.
  • Mechanical ability and general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are required.
  • Personable and professional attitude is essential.
  • 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.
