About the position

As a Maintenance Technician at Sjoberg Tool & Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of machines and equipment. You will work according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to skillfully interpret equipment manuals to install, maintain, and modify systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and drives. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing a variety of plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance functions, contributing to the overall functionality of our manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Installing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Repairing and maintaining various systems according to safety and maintenance protocols.
  • Interpreting equipment manuals to install, maintain, and modify systems including programmable controllers and drives.
  • Performing plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical background with experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial skills, including PLC experience.
  • Strong technical, mechanical, and electronic capacity.
  • Sound leadership skills and communication proficiency.
