Your responsibilities will include assisting in special procedures such as needle localizations and biopsies, ensuring patient care is prioritized during radiological procedures, and applying principles of radiation protection. You will also assist with general radiographic and office duties as needed. If your primary assignment involves working on the mammography van, you will be responsible for driving the mobile unit to various sites throughout St. Louis and Franklin Counties. Responsibilities

  • Provide screening and diagnostic mammography for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Assist the radiologist in performing needle localizations and biopsies when required.
  • Ensure patient care is prioritized during radiological procedures.
  • Apply principles of radiation protection in all procedures.
  • Assist with general radiographic and office duties as needed.
  • Drive the mobile mammography unit to various sites throughout St. Louis and Franklin Counties if assigned to the van.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience OR a graduate of a Bachelor's degree program.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT(R)(M)).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in computed tomography (CT) or other imaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced technology and innovative procedures in healthcare.
