About The Position

The Management Trainee Program at Buckle is designed to cultivate the next generation of retail leaders. Trainees will work closely with the Store Manager to develop essential skills in sales, recruiting, and leadership, preparing them for future roles as Store Managers. This position involves training and motivating team members, managing various operational tasks, and ensuring excellent customer service while acting as the Store Manager in their absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent retail experience.
• 1-3 months of related retail experience or training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail management or leadership roles.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide exceptional service.
• Answer questions regarding store merchandise and assist guests in locating items.
• Anticipate guest needs and suggest additional items to enhance their shopping experience.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and share sales education with the team.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Achieve personal sales goals and assist teammates in meeting their targets.
• Recruit, train, and motivate new teammates to meet store standards.
• Assist the Store Manager in coaching and counseling teammates.
• Manage visual merchandising and ensure store standards are met.
• Complete store opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Handle operational tasks such as register balancing and bank deposits.
• Communicate effectively with management and address any store issues promptly.
