About The Position

The Manager, Advanced Analytics at Highmark Health is responsible for leading a team that delivers impactful insights from complex healthcare data. This role involves designing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to enhance clinical quality and HEDIS performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, cloud-based solutions, and hands-on experience with the software development life cycle, including coding in languages such as Python and SQL. The position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with the ability to mentor a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in STEM or Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Master's Degree.
• 7 years of Data Analytics, Academic Research, and/or Work Experience.
• 1 year of experience using large data sets.
• 1 year in Predictive Modeling or Advanced Statistics.
• 1 year presenting complex analytics to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Data Engineering experience.
• 1 year in the Healthcare Industry.
• 1 year in Clinical Quality (HEDIS) Analytics.
• 1 year in Research and Development.
• 1 year as Business Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Perform management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff productivity.
• Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement necessary policies and programs.
• Create and communicate the product/capability vision, strategy, and roadmap across multiple products or capabilities.
• Own the product/capability backlog and prioritize it to drive business value.
• Work directly with the business to understand their needs and oversee the delivery of analytical solutions.
• Translate analysis results into understandable formats for the business, including reports and presentations.
• Network within the organization to find new stakeholders and broaden the impact of advanced analytic products.
