About the position

The Manager of Technology Audit will provide leadership and coordination for the internal audit function within the company's technology environment. This role is responsible for executing the strategy for technology audits and special projects, ensuring compliance with policies and standard practices, and maintaining the integrity of information systems at Alaska Air Group (AAG). As a people leader, the Manager of Technology Audit leads and establishes priorities for the team to execute on technology.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the technology audit strategy and ensure alignment with organizational goals to ensure compliance with policies and practices.
  • Participate in annual audit risk assessments and plan, execute, and report audit results.
  • Partner with IT, E-Commerce, Strategy, Finance, and Operational teams to deliver technology audit initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop audit staff to enhance technology audit capabilities and ensure detailed audit work is performed and reported, focusing on process and control gaps.
  • Manage relationships with technology audit co-source partners, including scope negotiation and contract compliance.
  • Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management.
  • Monitor and ensure timely remediation of identified control gaps.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidance.
  • Shape culture of team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors.
  • Foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, external auditors, and regulators.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance, or related field.
  • 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Technical proficiency in common operating systems, database management systems, and enterprise applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

  • CISA certification or plans to pursue this certification.
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging risks and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
