About the position

The Spectrum Business Account Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of a geographic sales team focused on selling to Small and Medium-sized businesses. The role aims to exceed budgeted sales goals while enhancing the customer experience through effective team leadership and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain a team territory plan.
  • Coach and lead a team of Account Executives to achieve and exceed budgeted sales and performance targets.
  • Spend 80% of time in the field with the sales team and 20% on administrative tasks.
  • Coach to and follow Charter's Sales Process.
  • Set sales goals with the sales team using various systems and tools.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues that may interfere with sales operations.
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings to update the sales team on tools, processes, or product updates.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach Account Executives to achieve sales goals.
  • Handle employee relation issues, including performance appraisals and coaching.
  • Ensure each Account Executive executes a living territory plan for their assigned area.
  • Manage daily individual rep funnel activity, including contacts, presentations, and sales.
  • Complete all administrative tasks related to sales activities and ensure Account Executives do the same.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Charter's product offerings and value propositions.
  • Keep current, in-depth knowledge of the marketplace and maintain professional relationships with customers and partners.
  • Attend and participate in management-established meetings.
  • Manage administration processes such as Project Plans and Business Cases/ROI.
  • Create a positive customer experience by demonstrating Good Neighbor Values.
  • Prepare reporting as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, particularly telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of telecom product/services sales experience.
  • 5 years of business-to-business sales management experience.
