About the position

The Manager of Charter Operations at Alaska Airlines is responsible for executing the strategy for the Charter Program, ensuring safe and timely execution of charter-related non-routine flight operations. This role involves leading a team, establishing priorities, and overseeing compliance with company and regulatory standards while contributing to long-term strategic planning and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead team and establish priorities for the charter program, including budget and training.
• Provide input in the strategy of the Charter Operations Program in partnership with various operational teams.
• Oversee the execution of Charter Operations ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to and execute the long-term strategy for charter load coordinator training.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for charters ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Establish financial and operating metrics to analyze performance of charter operations.
• Leverage evolving tools and technologies to improve processes for reliability and scalability.
• Develop team members through performance management and feedback.
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion practices within the team.
• Partner with NOC to manage Spire contract and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in airport operations or related area.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant training/experience.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
