About the position

The Manager - Communications and Marketing is responsible for the planning and execution of corporate communication and marketing activities for the global organization. This role leads and executes high impact campaigns, ensures a consistent brand voice, and drives stakeholder engagement to boost brand awareness, traffic, and leads. By leveraging dedicated project management principles and supervising direct reports, the Manager - Communications and Marketing plays a vital role in aligning cross-functional teams and delivering measurable results that support Calgon Carbon's global growth objectives. The individual will spearhead our new global corporate website launch and coordinate all digital channels, including social media and SEO/SEM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for SEO, SEM, social media, and email campaigns, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives
  • Use agile methodologies to plan, prioritize, and track multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously
  • Implement sprint planning and stand-ups to maintain momentum and transparency
  • Oversee content creation and curation across various platforms, working with in-house teams and external partners
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to deliver timely, high-impact communications that resonate with target audiences
  • Monitor performance metrics (e.g., engagement, conversions, ROI) to inform data-driven decisions
  • Present insights regularly, and adjust strategies to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Keep a pulse on brand sentiment, swiftly responding to urgent social media or PR issues in accordance with company protocols
  • Proactively identify potential risks and craft mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent certification from a four-year college or university is required (Marketing, Business, Advertising, Design, Computer Science, or related field)
  • A master's degree or equivalent is preferred
  • 7-10 years of Digital Marketing, SEO/SEM, Social Media Management, and Website Project Oversight (preferably using Agile methodologies) is required
  • Experience with data analysis and marketing metrics is preferred
  • Vendor management experience is preferred
