About the position

The Manager, Compensation and Benefits Consulting at AandM is responsible for advising companies on executive compensation and benefits matters. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring compensation strategies while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and the chance to work with a diverse client base across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete complex compensation and benefits projects
  • Provide compensation, tax, accounting, and business advice in regards to complex transactions
  • Provide competitive market data, quantitative/qualitative analyses
  • Participate in multiple executive compensation engagements for a diverse client base
  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs
  • Conduct proxy statement studies and analyses of publicly available data sources
  • Benchmark, design, and implement annual incentive plans and long-term incentive plans
  • Conduct statistical analyses of compensation data
  • Model financial impact of compensation plans
  • Monitor executive and other compensation trends
  • Assist clients with stakeholder awareness and negotiations
  • Participate in marketing initiatives including developing compensation work and methodology approaches
  • Manage client engagements on a day-to-day basis and manage staff members on various projects
  • Prepare tax calculations and various analyses/models
  • Review/draft technical memorandums and letters related to compensation and benefits issues
  • Manage risk, resources, staffing and financial performance for multiple engagements
  • Identify key tax issues and accurately quantify the impact
  • Build client relationships and demonstrate a working knowledge of client businesses
  • Supervise, develop, mentor, and motivate Associates and Senior Associates
  • Regularly support business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • One of the following required: Juris Doctor, Masters in Tax, licensed CPA, or specialty compensation and benefits certification
  • 5-7 years of experience working with technical issues regarding compensation and benefits
  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation and statistical analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage several projects and deadlines
  • High motivation to learn and grow
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
