About The Position

The Engagement & Retention Marketing Manager at Zipcar is responsible for designing and executing marketing communication programs aimed at enhancing customer retention, engagement, and loyalty. This role involves managing multi-channel marketing strategies, analyzing customer lifecycle metrics, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective member communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, focusing on multi-channel communication strategies.
  • Proven analytical skills with a history of translating insights into actionable plans.
  • Expertise in CRM and email marketing, familiarity with industry KPIs; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is a plus.
  • Experience in promotional platforms; experience with Talon.One is a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional project management skills, adept at balancing shifting priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ownership mindset with entrepreneurial spirit and a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a data-driven promotional calendar in collaboration with the revenue management team.
  • Oversee creative requests, craft messaging strategies, and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, push notifications, etc.).
  • Analyze campaign performance to refine results and optimize strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison for cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.
  • Leverage customer insights and revenue forecasts to develop and optimize communication strategies.
  • Establish and report on key performance metrics for all channels, prioritizing resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Define and implement a robust testing agenda focusing on segmentation, messaging, frequency, personalization, and send-time optimization.
  • Lead messaging and positioning efforts, manage timelines, approvals, and iterations to meet deadlines.
