About The Position

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating inventory activities and operations within a distribution center. This role involves overseeing a team of inventory control associates to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all inventories, while also driving improvements in inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working in inventory control.
• Prior distribution center experience.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in inventory management or related field.
• Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the inventory control team, handling hiring, training, development, and performance appraisals.
• Oversee inventory to ensure physical inventories are maintained and manage the inventory replenishment process.
• Analyze changes to inventory levels and develop solutions for slow or non-moving products.
• Manage vendor relations and the vendor return process, analyzing future purchases to reduce excess exposure.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal control over physical product flow and inventory accounting.
• Drive inventory accuracy improvements through the implementation of tools and processes with cross-functional teams in production.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory control related issues and processes.
