About the position

The Manager, Journeyman Facility Security Officer supports the Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) Department under the Code 720000D/E contract. This department's mission is to provide comprehensive IT and Cybersecurity support services to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). As a key component of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), the IT/IM Department is responsible for delivering the necessary personnel, processes, technologies, facilities, skills, knowledge, and abilities to support the development, planning, execution, monitoring, and life cycle support of IT/IM programs and activities within the Weapons Division command. The department also provides non-Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) products and services, which include corporate IT solutions, tools, and site/customer-specific support. The Facility Security Officer (FSO) serves as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the IMITSS contract. This role is crucial in managing security within the facility, with a primary focus on updating security plans, procedures, and instructions. The FSO is responsible for performing access control duties, which include managing badges, access cards, and visit requests. Additionally, the FSO should possess experience using the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and have familiarity with the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) requirements. The position requires a Secret clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret clearance being a necessity. The FSO will ensure that the facility's security measures are compliant with current and future Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, maintaining operational integrity to meet the end user's needs and adapting to new technologies and threats.

Responsibilities
