About The Position

The Manager of Library Collections Procurement and Processing at the University of Denver is responsible for overseeing the procurement and processing of library collections. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an academic library setting.
• Experience with academic library acquisitions procedures.
• Strong budgeting skills and ability to maintain accurate statistics.
• Excellent organizational and supervisory abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with collection development and library budgets.
• Familiarity with Ex Libris Alma Library Management System.
• Foreign language ability.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise four full-time and one part-time staff in procurement and processing workflows.
• Manage daily operations and organize unit workflow.
• Oversee the management and expenditure of collection funding, including payment processing and fund reconciliation.
• Produce financial reports and special reports on acquisitions activities as requested.
• Coordinate procurement and processing workflows with system-wide activities and demonstrate mastery of acquisitions functions.
• Process acquisitions for licensed information products and manage correspondence related to contracts and agreements.
• Participate in committees and collaborate with other library units.
