About the position

As Manager, Sales Operations, you will lead a team that supports all origination and sales activities within a specific region across various energy technologies. This role involves managing customer engagement, proposals, pricing, and market research to drive new business and enhance customer relationships. You will work closely with internal teams and report to the Director of Sales Operations, with a dotted line to a regional VP of Origination.

Responsibilities

  • Create specific customer and market strategies in collaboration with various internal teams.
  • Develop targeted marketing and sales collateral to drive new business.
  • Understand customer needs through market intelligence and customer Integrated Resource Plans (IRPs).
  • Summarize customer needs and synthesize strategies for engagement.
  • Maintain knowledge of power markets and regulatory activities affecting customers.
  • Review customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and develop response strategies.
  • Present strategies to management and execute sales plans with the regional Director.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of proposals for various agreements.
  • Manage operations and logistics related to sales processes.
  • Provide tools and guidance to Associates and Analysts for proposals and market research.
  • Utilize technology to manage and track customer opportunities and proposals.
  • Drive best practices and ensure data accuracy across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years professional experience in the energy sector
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated experience in a sales, business development, and/or consulting role
  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Market research experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Renewable energy project development experience
  • Renewable energy project management or construction experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills
  • Ability to write effectively and communicate concisely
  • Outstanding problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Collaborative leader and team-player.
