About the position

The Manager of Outside Sales is responsible for leading a team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors in a designated geographic area. This role focuses on managing daily operations to sell services to residential customers, enhancing the customer experience, and achieving sales goals. The manager will oversee staff functions, including selection, training, performance evaluation, and development, while also ensuring accountability and addressing knowledge gaps within the team. The position requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted headcount and sales goals.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable.
  • Identify training gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Monitor payroll processes and ensure timely approval of commission payments.
  • Prepare reports as needed and complete administrative tasks related to sales activities.
  • Communicate territory assignments to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Outside Sales or related work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales practices.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Sales Supervisory experience preferred.
