About the position
The Manager Patient Services at Children's Hospital of Michigan is responsible for overseeing nursing operations and providing business support to enhance service delivery. This role involves managing a single major function or multiple smaller functions within the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve departmental and hospital objectives. The position requires a focus on performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, and customer service outcomes, while also engaging in policy development and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Assume management responsibility for a major function or multiple smaller functions in nursing operations.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate processes related to performance improvement and staffing effectiveness.
- Ensure regulatory requirements and standards are communicated and monitored.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve departmental and hospital objectives.
- Model customer service excellence in all interactions.
- Develop and revise departmental policies and procedures in collaboration with higher management.
- Monitor and assess performance goals and measures for assigned areas.
- Assist in long-range goal development and budget monitoring for designated areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
- Three years of progressive nursing experience.
