About the position

Oversee the weekly development and daily maintenance of the production schedule, working with all relevant internal stakeholders to balance organizational objectives and deliver against internal metrics and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide production activities.
  • Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, capacity, inventory, resource availability, and delivery commitments into the production schedule.
  • Identifies potential scheduling issues proactively and drives resolution of scheduling conflicts and potential or actual delays.
  • Partners with Operations and Business Unit to resolve line conflicts, streamline the schedule, and ensure monthly financial targets are achieved.
  • Champions best practices using ERP system, planning and scheduling software, and other database tools.
  • Contributes to initiatives to improve on time in full (OTIF) metrics on all production lines.
  • Acts as a key contributor to the sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) process.
  • Attends daily production meetings to remain current with production.
  • Assumes a team lead role for the scheduling group and mentors other scheduling staff members.
  • Provides a monthly update to Senior Management on forecasted production.
  • Leads efforts to increase duration of fixed schedule from a minimum of 1 week to 4 weeks.
  • Manages supplemental data and throughput rates per SKU site-wide.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • This position requires knowledge of and adherence to all PCI and cGMP policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Attendance at work is an essential requirement of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a pertinent field and 10+ years of experience in scheduling positions.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills.
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
