About the position

The Vice President of the Centralized Business Services Team at Neuberger Berman will play a crucial role in providing onboarding and client service support to various teams, including Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Management, and Trust Company teams. This position involves collaborating with multiple departments to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience, while also guiding junior team members and addressing complex client inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Neuberger Berman's Private Wealth Teams to provide administrative and support services to new and existing clients.
  • Provide policy and procedural guidance to junior members of the team, addressing escalated internal/external client service inquiries/requests and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assess and process Non-Discretionary and Discretionary new account and maintenance requests, providing oversight and subject matter expertise in reviewing updates to client relationships.
  • Process account maintenance requests including KYC updates, control, beneficial owner and interested party updates, and account updates such as margin and check writing.
  • Review and process requests for fund disbursements, gifting securities, ACATs, and DTC transfers.
  • Review, streamline, and revise day-to-day operations to improve team efficiency and output.
  • Assist with the implementation of new firm initiatives and ad hoc reports/projects as assigned by management.
  • Identify and flag suspicious activity to mitigate risk and prevent fraudulent account behavior.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with 5-10 years client service/supervision/operational experience in the finance industry.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses; Series 24 is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional presence with strong leadership skills.
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on evolving needs and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce, and Aladdin Wealth applications.
