About the position

Figma is on a mission to make design accessible to all, and we are expanding our team of passionate individuals to help achieve this goal. As a Manager of Product Design, you will play a crucial role in leading one of two key areas of our product portfolio: either the Editor (Designer Experience) or FigJam. The Editor team is responsible for the Figma editor, which is the core of our product. This team focuses on features related to editing and design systems, setting the tone for other products that utilize the editor as a foundation. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who is eager to push the boundaries of quality and execution within their teams, and who is not afraid to dive into the details and get hands-on with the work. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of one of the most critical surfaces at Figma, lead a talented group of designers, and collaborate with exceptional individuals across the organization. On the other hand, the FigJam team is focused on building new products and shipping high-quality, ambitious projects. This role presents an exciting chance to lead a team of world-class designers and redefine Figma's product suite, core audiences, and future business direction. As a full-time role, this position can be based in one of our US hubs or can be performed remotely within the United States. In this role, you will manage and hire a group of talented designers at various experience levels, partner with Product and Engineering leads to enhance team processes and execution, and coach individual teams in setting their roadmap and strategy. You will also develop a strong perspective on your teams' product areas and advocate for it across the organization. Additionally, you will run and improve team processes such as critiques and sprints, while advancing your own skills in people management within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
