About The Position

The Manager of Project Execution at Exelon is responsible for directing the personnel and activities of a project management unit. This role involves the development and implementation of work processes and financial management tools to oversee and effectively manage projects, control costs, and ensure adherence to schedules. The manager will lead project teams through the business case and capital approval process, ensuring the successful execution and closeout of multiple projects and programs while fostering a high-performance culture and promoting diversity within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field and 7-10 years relevant project management or related experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to achieve PMP within two years of job entry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing large, complex projects using project management techniques.
  • Proven leadership ability in a high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, communicate effectively, and engage others in processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in engineering or Business Administration.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience or knowledge in Utility design/planning/construction or Information Technology.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the budget of an assigned portfolio of work, establishing and monitoring business plans and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high-performance culture and a learning organization.
  • Provide leadership and development for direct reports, including conducting performance planning and appraisal processes.
  • Interface with other departments and represent Exelon to other business units regarding projects under management.
  • Facilitate open and honest communication across the organization, ensuring upward communication is integrated into the process.
  • Manage large and/or highly complex projects or programs, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
