About the position

The Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations at Sysco will lead the deployment of standardized sales processes and practices to enhance the effectiveness of sales associates and achieve the region's financial goals. This role involves managing performance management tools and processes, working cross-functionally with sales, revenue management, and finance to enable effective coaching and performance management capabilities for sales leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the implementation of standardized sales processes and practices throughout the Salesforce.
  • Leads sales forecasting, planning, and processes used within the sales organization.
  • Proactively monitors and maintains high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in sales planning efforts.
  • Assists in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to drive sales productivity.
  • Supports annual planning and monthly forecasting processes for the sales leadership team.
  • Analyzes performance and productivity data to support coaching and performance management efforts.
  • Understands key metrics and outside data in relation to overall company goals.
  • Works directly with Sales Operations leadership on business-critical reporting needs.
  • Ensures the availability of the best tools, training, and resources for the sales organization.
  • Stays current with Sysco's value-added offerings and technology solutions.
  • Develops strong working relationships with regional sales organization, finance, merchandising, and revenue management.
  • Adapts well to change and views new experiences as growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of sales experience, and 2+ years in a sales support B2B professional role.
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from data.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to plan and execute business plans effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor peers and associates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience leading a B2B sales team in a professional sales environment.
  • Understanding of marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures, and Sysco's credit terms.
