About the position

Freshworks is looking for a passionate, people-first leader to join our Solution Engineering team in North America. As the Manager of Solution Engineering, you will lead a high-performing, field-based team of Solution Engineers who help our customers solve real-world problems with creativity and technical savvy. You will coach, inspire, and empower your team to deliver value with every conversation, demo, and solution they build. This role involves not just managing from a dashboard but also rolling up your sleeves, working side-by-side with your team, and building scalable strategies that shape the future of our go-to-market approach. This is your chance to influence product direction, collaborate with top-tier Sales and Product leaders, and help scale a team that's as ambitious as you are.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Solution Engineers, fostering a culture of growth, trust, and excellence.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop top talent to scale with our growing business.
  • Build go-to-market strategies, new business and expansion playbooks, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner closely with Sales to analyze pipeline health, win rates, and customer feedback - then take action.
  • Champion customer needs internally, working with Product Managers to influence the roadmap and elevate the voice of the customer.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, including C-level leaders at customer organizations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years leading pre-sales or Solution Engineering teams - ideally in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or a closely related space.
  • 7-10 years overall industry experience in enterprise SaaS or related domains.
  • A natural leader who motivates by example.
  • Deep experience engaging with senior IT leaders and CIOs, navigating complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • A strong grasp of storytelling in technical demos and solution selling that focuses on value, not just features.
  • A tech-savvy collaborator who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience building and scaling repeatable pre-sales processes and frameworks.
