About the position

The Manager, Stadium Operations is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Synovus Park, home of the Columbus Clingstones. This part-time position involves overseeing daily stadium operations, managing part-time staff, and maintaining high standards for cleanliness and asset management. The manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Stadium Operations to support the functionality and maintenance of the stadium facilities throughout the baseball season and off-season.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Synovus Park.
  • Manage part-time staff involved in stadium operations, including parking, security, and janitorial staff.
  • Schedule and supervise maintenance and cleaning operations to ensure high standards are met.
  • Conduct research and recommend purchases for new equipment and significant maintenance repairs.
  • Track and complete preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve stadium issues as they arise.
  • Oversee inventory management of operational assets and ensure their protection and replacement as needed.
  • Support pre-season and post-season preparations for the baseball season.
  • Learn and understand building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical for optimal functioning.
  • Assist in managing building automation systems for efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or proven experience in facilities or stadium operations.
  • Strong understanding of baseball stadium operations.
  • Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Experience managing a team of part-time employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work all 66 home games and potential playoff games.
  • Proficient in computer software and able to comprehend blueprints.
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and automation systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and operational efficiency standards.
  • OSHA training and First Aid/AED/CPR experience are a plus.

  • Forklift and lift equipment certifications/experience.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
