About the position

Waterway is seeking candidates for its Manager Training and Development Program in the St. Louis Area. This program is designed for individuals who want to learn how to effectively manage and run a business while being active and outdoors. The program offers a structured path to advancement, mentoring, and the opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be motivated leaders eager to gain high-quality business and people management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by leading by example and delivering outstanding service.
  • Greet customers positively and enthusiastically, identifying their needs and selling car wash services and memberships.
  • Address and correct any customer concerns or dissatisfaction to build loyalty and repeat business.
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring the store is opened and staffed correctly and that all closing procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for customers.
  • Coordinate daily store production through planning and execution, staffing based on forecasted business needs.
  • Perform quality checks to verify service standards and coach team members to improve results.
  • Complete required administrative tasks punctually and accurately, responding to customer and employee concerns effectively.
  • Monitor and manage store inventories, completing regular audits to meet appearance and safety standards.
  • Lead, manage, and supervise employees, providing daily direction and coaching to enhance performance.
  • Create and maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment aligned with Waterway's culture and values.
  • Create weekly employee schedules to ensure sufficient labor coverage for all key positions.

Requirements

  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Associate's degree or above (or current college senior) OR at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Experience in professional sales (B2B or B2C) or military leadership.
  • Availability to work a retail schedule (5 of 7 days, 45 hours, including weekends and holidays).
  • At least 16 years of age and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
