About the position

Mandarich Law Group, LLP is a Creditors Right law firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. We are seeking an Ohio Licensed Managing Attorney with 2 - 4 years experience to join our growing firm. This is a partial remote position as you will be required to go into the office located in Dublin, OH two or three times a week. As a Managing Attorney you will be immediately immersed in our litigation process from suit initiation up through and including conducting trial. You will be responsible for your own workload and maintaining case files currently in progress. Furthermore, you are responsible for negotiating with defendants and attorneys while at court, phone, e-mail, and regular mail to settle contested cases. You will also draft and file motions as well as responses to motions from defendants and participate in the discovery process where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and file necessary motions during the course of litigation.
  • Prepare for trials/arbitrations as necessary for the firm.
  • Communicate with consumers, consumers' employers, and consumers' attorneys to resolve accounts/suits.
  • Prepare, appear timely, and properly handle court appearances throughout Ohio and other counties as needed.
  • Review and appropriately request coverage for all court calls where an Associate will not appear, including necessary documents for the attorney's appearance.
  • Review all new and ongoing legal pleadings and documents to ensure accuracy for filing with respective courts.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the State of Ohio to practice law.
  • Comfortable appearing in court and able to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
  • Required to be in the office located in Newark, OH, 2 or 3 times a week.
  • Ability to travel as required, with reimbursement in accordance with IRS published mileage rates and other firm-approved travel expenses.
  • Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills for a high-volume case load.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional licensing in other states (MO, IA, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV, WA, KS, NY, MI, FL, GA) is welcomed.
