About the position

The Managing Director of Core Restructuring at FTI Consulting is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise and client service in corporate finance and restructuring. This role involves managing client relationships, supervising engagements, and leading a team of consultants to address complex financial challenges faced by corporations and stakeholders. The position requires a blend of hands-on analytical skills and managerial capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and client service at an advanced level.
• Manage client relationships and supervise staff within the practice.
• Prepare and review work products, financial statements, models, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct discussions with clients about the status and results of work performed.
• Prepare and review work plans, ensuring assignments are carried out within scope and budget.
• Follow the progress of engagements and update Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors.
• Help resolve analytical and technical problems as they arise.
• Apply business, economics, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to various client situations.
• Understand, synthesize, and analyze large amounts of data associated with complex restructuring cases.
• Present relevant analysis and summaries for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• 12+ years in Public Accounting, Consulting, Banking, or other Professional Services environment.
• Experience with bankruptcy processes and procedures, restructuring troubled companies, or related financial analytical experience.
• Excellent project management skills and proven capabilities in managing a team.
