About the position
Outlier is seeking a part-time freelance writer fluent in Simplified Chinese to assist in training AI models by providing human feedback. This remote position offers flexible hours and competitive compensation, allowing writers to contribute their expertise in a meaningful way while working from anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Read Simplified Chinese text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
- Write short stories in Simplified Chinese on given topics.
- Assess the factual accuracy of Simplified Chinese text generated by an AI model.
Requirements
- Fluency in Simplified Chinese.
- Experience as a professional translator or writer (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.).
- Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
- Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.
Nice-to-haves
- Higher education qualifications such as a PhD may lead to higher pay rates.
