About the position

At our Allegion location in Everett, WA our Manufacturing and Design Process Engineer will lead, manage and drive continuous improvements within assigned core process areas of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing tools & techniques (workshops, Kanban, visual management, 5S, total productive maintenance, set-up reduction, etc.)
  • Use formal problem solving techniques to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Initiate and manage productivity and cost savings projects.
  • Implement and maintain process controls through advanced quality planning techniques.
  • Support research, evaluation, justification, and recommendation of capital equipment.
  • Stay current with state-of-the art technologies and equipment.
  • Participate in developing strategic manufacturing processes. Also assist in developing the short and long-range capital planning.
  • Prepare and coordinate the implementation schedule for major projects and process changes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (ie. routings, standard work, work instructions, setup sheets, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date product data is available on the production floor in realtime.
  • Interface with design engineering to optimize new product introductions as well as ongoing production.
  • Assist Purchasing and Quality Assurance in qualifying suppliers for new product or product changes.

Requirements

  • 0-3+ of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
  • Sound engineering and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Result Driven
  • Self-Starter
  • Desire to be hands-on with all production processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong and sustainable relationships
  • Skilled in effectively working with cross functional teams to get results
  • Solid working knowledge in CAD and PLM/PDM, preferred: AutoDesk Inventor; Desired : Creo and Windchill
  • Working knowledge of MS D365 is desired
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
