In this on-site role, the primary responsibilities for the manufacturing engineer include developing new CNC Mills or Turning machining processes to support new and existing CNC Mills/Lathes and other machines. Experience with multi-axis CNC machines. Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook in a Windows environment, and experience with ERP systems. Follow up on jobs during the initial manufacturing Prepare detailed manufacturing instructions and programming data to produce machined parts and sub-assemblies to meet engineering drawings and specifications. Determine manufacturing procedures and operation sequencing and establish tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies for various products. Spend time in the production shops solving problems and improving processes associated with the parts you are responsible for. These problems may arise for many reasons, such as tooling, machine tools, gauging, and heat treating.
