At our Allegion location in Snoqualmie, WA our Manufacturing Engineer will lead, manage and drive continuous improvements within assigned core process areas of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing tools & techniques (workshops, Kanban, visual management, 5S, total productive maintenance, set-up reduction, etc.)
  • Use formal problem solving techniques to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Initiate and manage productivity and cost savings projects.
  • Implement and maintain process controls through advanced quality planning techniques.
  • Support research, evaluation, justification, and recommendation of capital equipment.
  • Stay current with state-of-the art technologies and equipment.
  • Participate in developing strategic manufacturing processes. Also assist in developing the short and long-range capital planning.
  • Prepare and coordinate the implementation schedule for major projects and process changes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (ie. routings, standard work, work instructions, setup sheets, etc.).
  • Analyze proposed engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
  • Assist Purchasing and Quality Assurance in qualifying suppliers for new product or product changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
  • Sound engineering and leadership skills
  • Machining experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management
  • Results-driven
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skills in Lean Manufacturing
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong and sustainable relationships
  • Skilled in team building and demonstrated experience in effectively working with cross functional teams to get results
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and AutoCAD
