Individual will be a key player in the design, development, and implementation of new processes in support of production requirements and goals at the Vernon facility. Using a wealth of accumulated experience and knowledge, this individual will play an active role in determining manufacturing processes, developed using lean and Six Sigma tools, for new and existing product. This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a desire to work in a hands-on environment supporting the shop floor and operations management. Individual must demonstrate experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) and have a working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Individual will assist in the further deployment of lean manufacturing and six sigma principals throughout the organization and may mentor others for the purpose of attaining goals for safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Individuals must demonstrate experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) and have a working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Qualified candidates must have large team management skills and experience with manufacturing engineering mindset and ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings and ability to use AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Individual must be a self-starter and have a desire to promote an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Experience in any or all of the following is desired: New Product Development (NPD), Electric Vehicles, flow manufacturing, metal fabrication processes, welding, assembly methodologies or paint systems. Six Sigma green or black belt certification preferred but not required.
