We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer - Senior to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Cummins Inc. in Ladson, SC. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 1. Apply Advanced Knowledge: Your advanced understanding of manufacturing principles and practices will be crucial in applying these concepts to Cummins, ensuring best practices are followed. 7. Responsibilities
- Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Integrate product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to develop optimal manufacturing processes that meet product design specifications.
- Select manufacturing equipment that meets Cummins specifications and project needs, ensuring efficient and effective production.
- Use digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes, equipment, and performance, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvements.
- Select appropriate work-piece-holding devices to secure parts and products during manufacturing, meeting functional requirements.
- Design and adapt processes and workstations using Cummins ergonomic design guidelines to reduce risk and create ergonomically sound work environments.
- Create operator workstations that are safe, healthy, and ergonomic, while balancing cost, quality, and delivery to contribute to an efficient work environment.
Requirements
- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
