Develops and implements improvements in the manufacturing process by studying product manufacturing methods and process flows. This position requires a heavy manufacturing production floor presence.
Responsibilities
Provide support for continuous improvement activities.
Develop layouts (AutoCad, DWG).
Prepare time and motions studies, BOM's, routings, Work Instructions.
Chart process flow, Control plans, PFMEA.
Perform research on best materials and methods for manufacturing.
Provide project management for larger projects.
Prepare and maintain Gantt charts.
Coordinate with Lean teams.
Participate in Lean events and follow up on approved improvements to ensure their effectiveness and continued value.
Provide leadership by guiding the activities.
Periodically report on progress.
Seek assistance when confronted with obstacles.
Provide support for any major equipment and process installation and setup.
Interface with equipment manufacturer, operations, maintenance, safety, quality.
Train affected employees.
Establish maintenance schedules, calibration needs, safety guarding and procedures.
Work with Operation Management to establish goals for improvement in Safety, Quality and productivity.
Create and produce supporting documentation required for CAPEX on equipment (ROI).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Proficiency in Auto CAD.
Experience with SolidWorks.
Familiarity with Sigmanest, Robowave, and Lantek.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Proven Leadership experience in a similar industry.
