Responsibilities
- Attend daily meetings with Maintenance Manager and staff to discuss past 24-hour issues in resolutions.
- Perform qualifications and sampling of new tools, materials, and machines to ensure that preventive maintenance processes are developed which result in acceptable levels of quality and efficiency.
- Assist maintenance and technicians in determining causes for machines running outside normal production processes and resolving to maintain an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.
- Work with Maintenance Department to identify machine issues and assist with troubleshooting to perform necessary repairs to equipment.
- Meet with Maintenance Manager daily to discuss last 24 hours maintenance issues, project status and goals.
- Assist corporate Research & Development with development and installation of new production lines in accordance with established requirements.
- Meet with tooling manufacturers to help tool shop improve their PM process; communicate needs and provide feedback on performance of same.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ related experience, specifically in processing injection or compression molding equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Nice-to-haves
- Like to assist in audits, inspections, safety meetings, GMP reviews and other duties not directly related to engineering duties.
- Like to train technicians to develop skills needed to maintain acceptable line performance to reduce scrap and machine downtime.
- Like to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
