To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Manufacturing Engineering located in Buffalo Grove Illinois. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager. The Manufacturing Engineering Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing systems per project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Yield, Scrap and Downtime
- Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
- Work with NPI in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements
- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel
- Define and implement manufacturing systems appropriate for customer applications
- Establish and improve robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
- Create work instructions and coordinate training for facilities and production personnel
- Participate in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
- Support creation and implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies
- Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Define, implement, and evaluate proposed design updates and processes
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for implementation of manufacturing systems
- Coordinate/participate in PFMEA of manufacturing processes
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential
- Validate production floor system routing
Requirements
- B.S. in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical or Automation
- 5 years' experience in related field
- 5+ years of experience working with NPI in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
