About the position

The position involves designing tooling and equipment for the assembly and testing of products. The role requires assisting in the commissioning or upgrading of equipment to meet the latest standards. The candidate will create tooling and equipment drawing packages using SolidWorks and manage projects related to new processes and equipment design as needed. A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning new techniques to enhance production safety and efficiency is essential. Additionally, the role includes supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities and performing other work-related tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling and equipment for assembly and testing of products
• Assist in commissioning or upgrading equipment to the latest standards
• Create tooling and equipment drawing packages using SolidWorks
• Manage projects for creating new processes and equipment design as needed
• Be proactive at solving problems and learning new techniques to increase production safety and efficiency
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environments
• Proficient in MS Office Suite programs, particularly Excel
• Experience with 2D & 3D drafting programs, i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks
• Basic to knowledge of PLC programming/ladder logic
• Basic electrical knowledge with familiarity with common components such as PLCs, Relays, VFDs
• Basic engineering knowledge of P&ID schematics, electrical schematics, time studies, process flows, scope of works, and OSHA Safety Standards
